Route Outgoing Mail via another server

Hello,
I am after a service for which I can route out going mail via googles smtp relay server
smtp-relay.gmail.com

Is this possible with your service?

Honestly if I was to take out a server it would be lucky to send 5 or 10 messages a day. I just want it for some very low volume domain accounts

You can configure your external email software to use any SMTP server that you like, whether ours or someone else’s. However, sending is really our strong point. Take a look at what we do with sent email: https://mxroute.com/our-unique-outbound-infrastructure/

MXroute does not support split domain routing, if that is what you are asking. And yes, that IS what you are asking.

Why MUST you use Google’s smtp relay server? (or at least why do you THINK you must?)

You couldn’t configure any of our software at such a level.

Maybe this will help:

MXroute will not support split domain routing in the sense that it will not do the routing, however it can certainly be used for the accounts “with a standard shared host” .

Honestly though, I think that you coulld solve your “problem” simply by changing the delivery routing on your “standard shared host”. Though I’d love to see you migrate to MXroute, it may not at all be necessary - if I have pieced your comments together correctly.

Can I configure your software to route the messages through the google relay server? As I don’t want to share the google login details with all users.

I have a client that has some mail accounts on google apps and some with a standard shared host. Eg doesn’t want to pay for google accounts for all staff.

We can get the inbound mail to the 2nd server.

We are just having issues with internal mail between the 2 services. Hence my question

Thankyou for letting me know what it’s called. I now have something to search for.

I thought by using the Google Relay Server it might be an easy way out.
