DNS adds domain to MX records

I am using a landing page service (Converdy) with one of my MXroute hosted email domains. It seems they add the domain to the MX records on the malfunctioning mail domain:

…while other - functional - mail domains at MXroute, are without this appended domain part:

I have several other domains with MXroute all working as intended. When I review the non-functional mail service, it seems Converdy appends the domain, as illustrated above.

I have left out the domain value ind DNS settings, to see if it helped and updated the London server change bit, too:

…but, still no luck.

Anything else I can try on my end (with MXroute), as Converdy support is not responding, and I need my email functionality, of course?

Any settings in the above scree shot on my end that could cause the malfunctioning part? My other domains all work great with MXroute, with identical technical setups according to tutorials and knowledgebase.

Hello @frankblob ,

It is unclear to me where you are actually entering your DNS records … however, the most likely fix to this problem would be to add a dot to the end of the record.

i.e. london.mxroute.com.

ETA: I just now noticed the link to the third image, and yes adding the dot should solve this problem.

Just as a side note to this, your SPF record should instead be:

“v=spf1 include:mxroute.com -all”

You’ll want to make sure to ignore everything in the “DKIM Keys” section of the DirectAdmin panel other than the DKIM key, as it can be misleading given that the DA panel was made for a full service web host and some things are not as easily stripped out as one might imagine.

Thanks! Solved it perfectly.
