Account Cancelled - No Refund

I opened an account on MXRoute, and cancelled it within a few hours after I found it would not do what I needed. Actually, the first few tries at cancellation didn’t work and the final one went through the next day. I paid using a credit card, not as a monthly subscription but under an offer. I have yet to receive a refund. I cannot find any way to reach anyone at MXRoute. All the emails I receive are noreply, and the Support area sends me here.

Someone at MX Route please respond, or I will be forced to do a charge back via my credit card.

To anyone new: Never threaten chargeback because you didn’t know what you ordered and don’t like that we (a small business) are not hiring staff to be immediately available to take your requests that cause negative revenue after agreeing to a no refunds policy.

Per the policy agreed to at signup:

We do not refund cancelled contracts. Exceptions will be made where MXroute is found to have failed to uphold it’s guarantees. If you feel that a refund is warranted we encourage you to contact us on Slack. In case of policy violations, any and all refunds are forfeit.

This user has been reported to FraudRecord as chargebacks are accusations of fraud against a company, and such an accusation would be fraudulent in nature. While a simple refund request would not have resulted in this response, I am intentionally tough on these to prevent external factors outside of my control from damaging my business.

Refunds aren’t automatically executed upon cancellation. We do those manually to prevent anyone from signing up, sending a ton of spam, and then cancelling. I’ve refunded you just now. :grin:

The reason the support area sends you to this Q&A or to our Slack is because this is where you can reach us. Especially live chatting in Slack is much easier to resolve issues. This Q&A is really helpful because it can be publicly searched, leading to less duplicate questions.
