SPF question -- mxlogin.com and/or mxroute.com?

Hi,

Outgoing e-mail gets sent out using different MXroute mailservers, I’ve seen the (nice!) drawing.
An example of a few servers I’ve witnessed being used for sending out:

relay0123 .mxlogin .com
qrelay240 .mxroute .com
qrelay187 .mxroute .com

Now, my SPF record is:

“v=spf1 include:mxlogin.com -all”

So my (maybe silly) question: don’t I need to include both domains (mxlogin .com and mxroute .com) in my SPF record, or are they (automatically) some kind of alias? I’m just curious, how come I don’t have to mention both?

Great question!

Both of those SPF records are redundant, so you can choose either one. Some people have a preference that it not reflect our direct website, which is why I made a second one as an alternative.
